| To the south on Second Street again, is the building always known as the "old" post office building. After the new post office was built around 1961. it was mainly used for storage by the bank. Joe Hensley had a fishing worm works there in the 1970's. Leonard Wright bought the building and remodeled it for a printing and stationery store in, 1981. The south part of Wright's Printing has been an office for Barnes Real Estate and Insurance. L.B. Field Insurance Agency. The Argus newspaper office, Mike Meyer Tax Consultant and Pants Plus Clothing owned by Lesli Nichols. Currently the north side is the office for John Nye's Modern Woodmen of America business, while the south side housed "Tommy's Embroidery" followed by the office for The Texhoma-Goodwell Times News, published by Oren Pipho, from 1993-2004 |

| Next door south of the alley are two buildings built by J.P. Robertson. The first was for Mallets Cash and Carry followed by many years as Lunts Mercantile. It later served as Tarver Drug when they moved from across the street in the 1950's Then Welch Variety was housed there followed by the 3-A who moved from next door. In later years it has served as a Baptist Church and School and has lately been a game room. Building is unoccupied. |

| The adjoining building housed Robertson Hardware when it was built. It was the Ideal Food Store for many years until they constructed a new building across to the southwest. It was Boxwell Furniture Store for a time in the early 1940's. E. Lee Nichols and the Jim Nichols had a clothing store and beauty shop followed by Altha Brown and Erma Agents' 3-A Variety and Gifts. Personality Plus owned by Lesli Nichols was the most recent business at this location. The building is now empty. |

| The building adjoining the old Nichols building to the south on Second Street (east side), was built by Jack Freeman and is the Freeman Ranch Office. | |

| Across the street south are two buildings always known as the "utilities." The first was originally the Rowland Ice Plant. Remember those four-sided cards we put in the window to tell the ice man how much to leave? The building later served as the Weaver Laundry. Cimarron Utilities with Jim Settles and Mr. Sharp each being managers at one time. Then Southwestern Public Service moved in. At one time it was also the Chamber office. It is now the Texhoma Public Works Authority building. Currently Trent Bolin, Sheri Leach, Elizabeth Ramero work there. |

| The south building has always housed utilities. First known as Texhoma Water Works and Electric Company. A Mr. Jayre (Raymond Luther) was manager. When the motors burned in the late teens, the town was without electricity for quite some time and had to revert back to gasoline lights and kerosene until the next plant was built by Cimarron Utilities. Later it was the Southwestern Public Service and is now Southern Union Gas. Southern Union built the new metal building in 1967. | |

| Across the railroad tracks south the old Equity Building stands. Built for that purpose, it served later as Jones Creamery, dance hall, Agent Mud and Chemical Company and Panhandle Chevrolet warehouse. The Equity then operated it as a filling station. Morris Freeman had a Mobil gas station here. It then served Bessie Freeman as a laundry, as a pool hall, as an antique shop owned by Doris Cornelsen and lately as Melvin Sanders Cabinet Shop. Currently Mertis Vail uses the building for storage. |

| The Resident Lumber Company was built in 1914. Hugh Coates was first manager. It was owned by Sweet Brothers for many years and managed by Raymond Sweet and later Bob Mitchell. It is now owned and operated by Glenn Nusz. Lumber Mart of Guymon ran a satellite lumber yard for a while but now it is empty. Texhoma fireman hold their halloween spoke house there |
