The back part of Thomason-Mobley General Store was later used by Thomasons for their expanded 5 & 10. Later it was Thomason Laundry. Gaddy Laundry. Eslinger Laundry, a Dodson Pool Hall, and Smith Pool Hall. It was last used as the Texhoma Times Press Room. The United Methodist ladies have had a used clothing resale store for the past years.
The building west of the alley, commonly known as the old Legion building, was built by Ray Riley in 1921. It was occupied by C.W. Wyatt as the first Grocerteria. Later bought and operated by Earl McDaniel before he moved around to Second Street. It was another building in town used for a time as a skating rink in the 1940's and then a bowling alley and lunch stand. The American Legion later bought and remodeled it and used it as a meeting hall. Many civic functions were held here. It's last use has been a private club owned and maintained by local business men.
Texhoma EMS building erected in 2001, and houses the ambulances and work rooms.
The last building on this block, a large yellow brick, was built by Albert Backus for his Ford garage in 1949. Later owned and operated by John and George Bergncr. Later Kight and Allard had part of their Chevrolet Agency here. It is now owned by the Town of Texhoma for a City Hall and Fire Station.
Across the street from the Texhoma Methodist Church is where Jerry Thomason's Cleaners was located. Afterwards it was Barnum Laundry and then the Lindorfer Laundry. The building is now empty.
