The Riffe Endowment was initiated beginning with the generous contribution, in 1984, by Mr. Jesse B. and Esther Riffe to the
Stratford Area Foundation. The interest from Riffe Endowment is used to
benefit the communities in Sherman County, Texas, and Texas County,
Oklahoma.
From the Riffe's initial principal and additional community donations, the Riffe Endowment has grown and made meaningful contributions to all
communities involved. Donations can be made as a memorial or
honorarium. The foundation will send a card to the family informing
them of the memorial.
Awards to Texhoma are based on funds matching the recipient's request. All grants must be matched dollar for dollar. As you can see from the
table below, Texhoma has benefited and our community has been greatly
enhanced by the Riffe Endowments. The endowment is administered by the
Stratford Area Foundation. The foundation is governed by a board of
directors consisting of community members from Stratford and Texhoma.
To be placed in the account fund which benefits the Texhoma Community, Riffe Endowment must be indicated on the check. Contributions to the
