At Texhoma United Methodist Church we have a mission.

"To bring people into a relationship with God through Jesus Christ; to nurture them in the faith; and to send them out in mission for the Kingdom of God."

Our mission field is the community in which God has put us. While we support various missions around the world, we know that our primary mission is to the community of Texhoma. It is here that we find the hurting and the lost and teach them about Jesus. It is here we make the presence of God known and show people how a loving God is reaching out to them. It is here that most of our "missionaries" are sent.

We have open doors and arms that accept each and every person as they are. Through the grace of God we show them how to live up to their God given potential. We believe that Jesus gave us the ultimate example by accepting all of those willing to follow Him as His disciples. Jesus showed His unconditional love for us, by dying on the cross and rising from the dead, so that we might have eternal life. This eternal life starts here with a relationship with Jesus. While we strive to accomplish our mission, we will show others this love and help them know what it means to have life and life more abundantly. Becoming a true follower of Jesus is a life long commitment, we believe in becoming true disciples of Christ as well as helping others to become disciples.

We know that this mission will only be accomplished with the help of God. We also know that God is with us and all things are possible with God.
